ABOUT THE SPORT

AFL Hunter Central Coast Incorporated is the body recognised by AFL NSW / ACT that is responsible for the management of junior, youth and senior Community Football Competitions across the Hunter and Central Coast regions of New South Wales.

The Central Coast and Hunter regions offer separate junior and youth competitions for girls and boys, while senior competitions encompass both regions across both male and female football.

Our Senior competitions feature five Central Coast clubs, with our Junior competitions featuring nine.

AFL Hunter Central Coast Clubs offer the following participation options:

  • NAB AFL Auskick – the best introduction for kids into the world of Australian Football. Auskickers run, jump, kick, laugh, express themselves and create their own special moments that just happens to be footy. No matter if you know the game or not, Auskick is inclusive for everyone aged 5-12 at any ability to play.
  • Junior and Youth-based competition – from Under-9’s to 17’s, with competitions aimed at mixed / boys or youth girls. Under-9 to 14’s age groups are based on the Central Coast, with players from Under-15’s upwards playing in competitions based across the combined Central Coast and Hunter regions.
  • Senior football – offers both men’s and women’s competitions (Under-17 / Under-18 and upwards), as well as a social competition for those looking for a less competitive options (35+). Senior football is also played across the combined Central Coast and Hunter regions.
