Activate Central Coast is an exciting new initiative for local sport and active recreation providers delivered by Central Coast Council, Sport Central Coast and the Central Coast Office of Sport.

Our partners believe sport and active recreation connects people with their community, improves their health and well-being and provides a range of benefits to our local economy.
With the Central Coast population expected to increase dramatically over the next ten years, our local sport and active recreation community must work together to ensure it remains strong and encourages our community to embrace the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Activate Central Coast has been designed to:
- Increase awareness of local sport and active recreation providers.
- Encourage our community to participate in sport and active recreation.
- Connect the community with providers who match their interests.
- Create opportunities to meet changing community expectations.
The first stage of Activate Central Coast has been the creation of our regions most comprehensive online sports directory – The Sports Hub – which features over 100 local providers for our community to connect with and enjoy the benefits of participating in sport and active recreation.
Whether you’re searching for a small club or large association running casual, competitive, indoor, outdoor, land, water, individual or team-based activities on weeknights or weekends – The Sports Hub provides a platform for local providers to promote their activities and services and allows our community to find providers who match their wants, needs, abilities and interests.
The next stage of Activate Central Coast will see our partners continue to collaborate with local providers to develop, promote, and deliver activations, programs and participation options which meet changing community expectations towards participation in sport and active recreation.
Activate Central Coast will also see our partners provide support and encouragement to our local sport and active recreation providers to create inclusive and accessible cultures, environments, experiences and participation options for people with disabilities, seniors and under-represented populations.
