Sport Central Coast Celebrates Success at Clubs NSW Central Coast Region Golf Day

Sport Central Coast (SCC) marked a significant fundraising triumph at the annual Clubs NSW Central Coast Region Annual Golf Day, held at Shelley Beach Golf Club on Friday, 16th February.

The event proved to be a resounding success, with SCC and the wider community actively participating and providing substantial support for the local sporting community.

On the day, SCC took an active role by organizing a BBQ breakfast, fielding teams, and generously contributing prizes for the raffle. These efforts were pivotal in raising crucial funds that will be reinvested into SCC’s ongoing mission to enhance sports and active recreation opportunities across the Central Coast.

Reflecting on the event’s success, SCC Chairman Simon Smyth expressed gratitude towards the organizers and participants, emphasizing the positive impact of the day:

“The Clubs NSW Annual Golf Day was not only a fantastic opportunity for Sport Central Coast to engage with our community but also a crucial fundraiser for us. We are immensely grateful to Phil Walker and the Clubs NSW Board for their support and for making this event possible. The funds raised will enable us to deliver more high-quality events and initiatives that benefit our local sports and active recreation sectors.”

Over 100 golfers participated in the tournament, underscoring the community’s strong support for SCC’s initiatives. Smyth extended his appreciation to all participants and supporters who contributed to making the day a success:

“We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at Shelley Beach Golf Club and contributed to such a successful day. Your support is invaluable in helping us continue to foster a vibrant sports culture here on the Central Coast.”
