Wyong District Netball
DESCRIPTION
Wyong Netball Association consists of 19 community clubs who participate in competitions at Baker Park, Wyong each Saturday between April and September.
Our competitions cater to participants of all ages and abilities from beginners to A-Grade participants.
Wyong Netball Association has a Representative Program which includes players from 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17-years-age and Opens and Masters.
Our teams compete in the NNSW Championship Division and have been very successful at both Junior and Senior State titles.
Our Twilight social competition runs for 6-8 weeks in October for those who have played in the winter competition and those who would like to come and try netball.
Our annual carnival is held in August and attracts over 140 teams from outside the Central Coast.
Although we do not have an specific inclusive program, we are always happy to accommodate all players and place them in teams or programs which are suitable to their needs and wants.
ACTIVITIES OFFERED
Our competitions types include:
Net Set Go: Australia’s official starter program for girls and boys aged five to ten. It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. For a lot of kids, this is the first time they’ll pick up a netball. It’s a learning experience and a lot of fun.
Net Set Go Games: Join a club, develop your skills and play games in a non-competitive environment.
Junior Netball: For kids aged 10-17 years who want to take the sport a bit more seriously. You’ll play across a full season, improve your skills and fitness, and make friends for life.
Seniors: Senior Competition Netball is a great way to stay fit and healthy and make friends. Senior Netball can cater to all abilities and skill levels so you can push yourself and compete or just sign up with friends and have fun.
Representative Program: We provide a representative program for players aged 11-17 years of age, as well as opens and master’s teams. These teams participate in the NNSW Championship and have been very successful in both junior and senior divisions.
Twilight Netball: Our Twilight social competition runs for 6-8 weeks in October for those who have played in the winter competition and for those who would like to come and try netball. Twilight Netball provides participation options for juniors, ladies & mixed teams.
