Bowls Central Coast

DESCRIPTION

Bowls Central Coast administers the sport of Lawn Bowls on the Central Coast through our 21 affiliated member clubs across the Region.

One of the major benefits of Lawn Bowls as a sport is that anyone can play – we offer competitive and social options for male, female and mixed play and can accommodate people of all ages and abilities.

All 21-member clubs can assist you with any questions you may have, and coaching is free.

If you don’t have any bowls, it’s no problem at all – the club can lend you some to give our sport a try.

ACTIVITIES OFFERED

Competitive Bowls:

Bowls Central Coast offers Pennant competitions for teams of bowlers from various Clubs to compete against each other.

We offer Zone championships for Under 18’s, Open, Seniors (Over 60), Veterans (Over 70) and handicapped events for players from lower grades of our pennant competitions.

Winners of these events can go on to play in NSW State, Australian and World Lawn Bowls events.

Central Coast Representative sides are selected to compete in Under 18, Open, Seniors and Veteran competitions and we have established pathways for talented players seeking representative success. Bowlers from the Central Coast have followed this path to State, Australian, and World success in NSW, Australian, Commonwealth Games and World Championships.

Social Bowls:

All 21-Member Clubs across the Central Coast offer social bowling options with affiliate groups of bowlers getting together for social bowling days and annual bus trips where the companionship and camaraderie is more important than the bowls.

All 21-member clubs can assist you with any questions you may have, and coaching is free.

If you don’t have any bowls, it’s no problem at all – the club can lend you some to give our sport a try.
