Central Coast Junior Rugby Union
DESCRIPTION
Central Coast Junior Rugby Union has been the administrative body, organising Junior Rugby in all forms of the game (15-per-side, Rugby 10’s and Sevens) in the NSW Central Coast area since 1980.
We currently have 10 local clubs across the Coast with boys and girls participating in ages from Under-6’s to Under-17’s.
CCJRU have a strong representative program available for young participants with teams and players competing annually in the NSW Country and NSW State Junior Championships.
With almost 1200 junior participants competing in our competitions, the Central Coast is fast becoming a major force in producing quality players, some of which are former and current NSW and Australian players.
ACTIVITIES OFFERED
Club Rugby:
Central Coast Junior Rugby Union provides options for Junior participants in all forms of the game across our 10 local community clubs.
Representative Rugby:
We have a comprehensive pathway available for junior participants, with representative players from the zone participating in both the NSW Country and NSW State Junior Championships.
Central Coast Junior Rugby Union also hosts the Under-10 and 11’s State Gala weekend at Tuggerah Sport Complex, which is by far the largest rugby event held on the Central Coast, with approximately 1000 players competing over the weekend of the event.
