DESCRIPTION
ADVANCE GRAPPLING is a locally-owned & operated, independent grappling academy, led by coach JACK GOODWIN-BAINBRIDGE (1st degree black belt). Coach Jack is an experienced Australian grappling practitioner & educator. A practitioner since 2012 and instructor of both children and adults since 2014, Jack has also competed at all belt levels, locally and internationally. He provides high quality, inclusive grappling instruction to people of all skill levels and learning styles.
Grappling, also known as submission grappling or submission wrestling, is a combat sport that focuses on ground fighting and submission techniques. These techniques include various upper and lower body joint locks, and choke/strangle holds. Grappling is a hybrid discipline that incorporates elements of different grappling styles such as various types of wrestling, judo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It is practiced both as a competitive sport, and as a training method for mixed martial arts (MMA).
